asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state the number of applications for telephones from County Kildare made prior to the 31st December last which have not been satisfied and if he will state when all the telephones so applied for will be installed.

Sixty-two applications for telephones in County Kildare made prior to 31st December last are still outstanding. I cannot say at this stage when all these telephones will be installed, but I hope that a number of them will be provided before the end of this year.
