Vol. 127 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wexford Bridge Order.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state when the bridge Order will be made in respect of the proposed new bridge in Wexford Town; and, further, if he will indicate when work on the project will commence.

As I informed the Deputy in reply to his question on 4th July, 1951, the Wexford County Council have been informed that it is proposed to make a bridge Order on the lines requested by them. The formal Order will issue shortly. Meanwhile, the council's consulting engineer is considering technical points raised on examination of the plans in the Department. Work on the project may be commenced when the plans have been approved by me and a contract is made by the county council.
