The post of adviser to the Minister for Social Welfare was created for the reason given by that Minister on the 8th and 14th November, 1951. The question of creating similar posts in other Departments must be governed by the official requirements at any particular time. It is not the present intention to make such appointments in other Departments as the need for them does not exist.
