Vol. 129 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cahirciveen Barrack Ruins.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that the ruins of the old Royal Irish Constabulary barracks in Cahirciveen, County Kerry, the property of the Office of Public Works, were shaken considerably by the December storm, that portion of the masonry was dislodged, that its environs are used by children as a playground, and that in its present condition it is a menace to the lives of those in the vicinity; and, if so, if he will have steps taken to remove the danger.

I am having inquiries made in this matter, and any safeguarding works which may be found necessary will be carried out.
