Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Aer Lingus Teoranta.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he will state (1) the names and addresses of the Directors of Aer Lingus Teoranta and the amount of non-Irish capital invested in this concern and (2) what interest the British European Airways Company have in Aer Lingus Teoranta.

The present directors of Aer Lingus Teoranta are: Mr. E.T. McCarron (chairman), Ardeevin Road, Dalkey, County Dublin; Mr. J.J. O'Leary, Seafield Avenue, Monkstown, County Dublin; Mr. P.P. Wilkinson, Main Street, Naas, County Kildare; Lord Douglas of Kirtleside, Ruislip, Middlesex, England; Mr. Conor Carrigan, Clonacoady, Clonmel, County Tipperary.

The authorised capital of Aer Lingus is £5,000,000 of which £952,000 is paid up. The paid up capital is held as to 60 per cent. by Aer Rianta Teoranta, the Irish holding company, as to 30 per cent. by British European Airways and as to 10 per cent. by British Overseas Airways Corporation.
