Employment on Bord na Móna's turf development schemes is a matter solely for the board and I have no function in relation to it. I understand that, other things being equal, Bord na Móna give preference to applicants with satisfactory service during the emergency period in the Defence Forces and in auxiliary defence organisations.
The Deputy's complaint is, however, not understood by the board because, so far as the County Mayo bogs are concerned, employment is available for all suitable men.
