The provision in sub-head I (6) of the Department's Estimates for the years 1951-52 and 1952-53 amounts to a total of £90,000, which would provide for the payment of the maximum grant in respect of 360 houses. As the payments are made to housing authorities on account, the provision made in the Estimates in any particular year is not related strictly to the number of houses to be let within the year.
