Vol. 130 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Price of Electricity.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if, in connection with the two recent increases made by the Electricity Supply Board in their charge for heating by night-storage, whereby the cost per unit was raised from .28d. to .63d., he will indicate the reasons for such increases, particularly the second increase in September, 1951; and, further, if he will request the board to re-examine the position with a view to their ascertaining whether or not the rate could be reduced to a more economic level.

I have no function in the matter of the charges made by the Electricity Supply Board for electricity. The Deputy should address to the board any representations he wishes to make.
