The cost of administration of my Department, including services rendered by other Departments, is estimated at about £1,600,000 a year. Until some experience of its working is obtained, it is not possible to say what proportion of this sum will relate to the proposed insurance scheme or what additional expense, if any, will be entailed. No heavy additional expense is, however, anticipated.
