Vol. 134 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Acquisition and Division.

asked the Minister for lands whether the lands of Mr. Edward McHugh of Corsallagh, Cloonacool, Tobercurry, County Sligo, have been acquired by the Land Commission; and, if so, when it is proposed to divide these lands among uneconomic holders in the area.

This estate was recently acquired and it is expected that it will be allotted by next spring.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the cause of the long delay in having the Koe estate, Youghalarre, Nenagh, divided amongst the uneconomic holdings bordering on this estate, and if in view of the great demand for food production, the Land Commission will endeavour to have it divided before next spring.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is in a position to state when the Land Commission will have the estate of Miss Grubbs, Kilfadda, Lorrha, Nenagh, divided amongst the smallholders of that area and whether the Land Commission will endeavour to have it divided before next spring so as to help those people to increase food production, which is badly needed.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I will take together Questions Nos. 28 and 29.

Possession of these estates was obtained within the last three weeks. There will be no avoidable delay in allotment.
