The following is the statement:—
The Dairy Produce Consultative Council was established by the Minister for Agriculture on 25th June, 1925, by Order entitled Dairy ProduceAct, 1924 (Consultative Council) Order, 1925, made under Section 45 of the Dairy Produce Act, 1924. The council has remained in existence ever since. In accordance with the Act, the council consists of such persons as the Minister may from time to time nominate. Members so nominated hold office for a period of two years but are eligible for renomination.
The first members of the council, who were appointed on 25th June, 1925, and the interests they represented, were as follows:—
