asked the Taoiseach if he will state the quantity and cost of artificial manures and fertilisers imported since January, 1952, to the latest convenient date, the countries from which they were imported and the amount of tariff collected on such imports.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Imports of Artificial Manures.
With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate in the Official Report a statement containing information on the quantity and value c.i.f. of artificial fertilisers (including rock phosphate) imported from January, 1952, to August, 1953, and the countries from which they were imported. The receipts of customs duty during the same period in respect of imports of artificial fertilisers amounted to £11,514.
