The number of houses built by the Cork Corporation in each of the calendar years 1948 to 1953 was 60, 87, 147, 187, 316 and 272. Final cost figures in respect of all schemes eligible for Transition Development Fund grants have been received from the corporation and the total grants payable have been determined at £223,746 of which £223,000 has been paid, leaving a balance of £746 which will be paid at an early date.
