Reports and recommendations of the Prices Advisory Body are furnished for the information of the Minister for Industry and Commerce and are prepared on the basis that they are not intended for publication.
I am satisfied that it would be inadvisable to depart from this practice, more particularly as the reports frequently contain confidential information regarding the affairs of individual firms.
In particular cases, however, there may be good grounds for making summaries of reports available to Deputies, and I am prepared to consider each such case on its merits.
