asked the Minister for Lands if, in connection with the future sub-division of estates, he will request the Land Commission to consider favourably the erection of concrete posts and fencing wire instead of the sod fences which they have been erecting hitherto.

It has been arranged that in future a concrete post and wire fence will normally take the place of the sod fence which has hitherto been built. Exceptions will, of course, be made in cases where the terrain or the climate are unsuited to the use of concrete and wire.
