The carrying out of the Waterford Harbour extension for which a State grant has been approved is primarily a matter for the Waterford Harbour Commissioners. I understand that the detailed drawings and specifications for the first stage of the work are being prepared by the Harbour Commissioners' consulting engineer and that the commissioners should be in a position to invite tenders for this work in the near future.
