Vol. 153 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Road Improvement.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that, in order to facilitate the development of about 50 acres of bog in the townlands of Drombrane and Lickeen, Glencar, it will be necessary to repair an old Office of Public Works road and construct a new road as a continuation of it, so as to link up the Glencar-Caragh Lake main road with the Bealach Oisin road, the proposed improved road to run from Lickeen Bridge to Beal an Atha Bridge through the townlands of Lickeen and Drombrane; and, if so, if he will make financial provision for this essential project.

I do not appear to have received any application for this work in recent years. I will, however, now arrange to have it inspected and reported on at the first suitable opportunity. On receipt of the report, the case will receive due consideration.
