Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Sewerage and Water Supply Schemes.

asked the Minister for Local Government what is the cause of the delay in advertising the proposed sewerage scheme for Annascaul, County Kerry.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he has received proposals from the Kerry County Council in connection with a sewerage scheme for Ballyheigue, and, if so, what is the present position in the matter.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he received proposals from the Kerry County Council in connection with the provision of a water scheme for the village of Lixnaw, and, if so, what is the present position in the matter.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 81, 83, 84 and 86 together.

Approval has issued to the invitation of tenders for Lixnaw water, Annascaul and Ballyheigue sewerage schemes and to the construction of the Ballyduff water scheme by direct labour, subject to the sanitary authority being in a position to acquire any necessary lands and rights by agreement. According to the most recent information available from the sanitary authority land acquisition has not yet been completed in these cases.

asked the Minister for Local Government what proposals for water and sewerage schemes for Fíor-Ghaeltacht districts have been submitted to his Department by the Kerry County Council.
