Vol. 155 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Limerick Schools.

asked the Minister for Education if he will state the present position in regard to the erection of a new school at Rich Hill, Lisnagry, County Limerick.

The Commissioners of Public Works have had an alternative site offered by the reverend manager for the proposed new national school at Rich Hill, County Limerick, inspected. The site is regarded as suitable and my Department is prepared to accept it. My Department is in communication with the reverend manager in regard to the production of evidence of title to the site and to certain other arrangements which are a necessary preliminary to the sanction of a the new school.

asked the Minister for Education if he will state the present position in regard to the provision of new schools at Eyon and Kishikirk, County Limerick.

I regret that it has not yet been found possible to bring to conclusion the question of the arrangements to be made for the replacement of the existing schools at Eyon and Kishikirk. I am, however, giving the matter my closest attention with a view to a decision being reached as soon as possible.
