I am informed by the E.S.B. that the Clonfert area, which extends as far as Meelick, has been considered for selection by the board on a number of occasions but has not yet been selected as the returns for the area are below the minimum return required by the board. The board has stated that the prospects of the area being selected would be improved if further householders would agree to take supply.
