I hope to resume within the next few months the acceptance of applications for grants under the Farm Buildings Scheme. It became necessary last August to defer the acceptance of further applications as the funds provided for the scheme this year were earmarked to meet applications already accepted and applications in respect of cow-byres from participants in the bovine tuberculosis eradication scheme. I would like again to make it clear that each applicant must obtain prior official authority for carrying out, to prescribed specifications, the work for which a grant is sought.
