asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state how much was paid by way of butter production allowance during the last production year.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Butter Production Allowance.
Mr. Moylan
There was paid to creameries during the butter production year ended 30th April, 1957, a production allowance of 3/- per cwt., the total amount of which was £128,402. There was, of course, also paid to creameries during that year a sales allowance of 46/8 per cwt., the total amount of which was £2,013,608.
Does the Minister indicate now that consumers in the coming year will have to meet these charges?
Mr. Moylan
I suggest that is a separate question to which I think the answer is obvious.
