Nine vessels under 1,000 tons gross tonnage, other than fishing vessels, were added to the Irish register in 1955, nine in 1956 and one in 1957. Nine vessels in this class were removed from the register in 1955, seven in 1956 and 11 in 1957. Excluding fishing boats, there were 178 vessels under 1,000 tons gross tonnage on the register at 31st December, 1957.
