Vol. 165 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clonbur (Galway) School.

asked the Minister for Education if he has sanctioned a grant for the building of a new national school at Cloughbrack, Clonbur, County Galway.

Mr. Lynch

A grant for the erection of a new national school at Cloughbrack, Clonbur, County Galway, has not yet been sanctioned by my Department.

A site for the proposed new school has been offered by the reverend manager and my Department awaits a report from the Commissioners of Public Works as to its suitability. If the site is regarded as suitable, certain preliminary arrangements will have to be made before a grant towards the cost of the new school can be sanctioned. These arrangements will necessarily take a considerable time to complete, but they will be expedited as far as possible.
