asked the Minister for Local Government if he will introduce legislation whereby drivers of motor-cars, or other such vehicles, who are convicted of driving on the public roads while drunk, will be given a jail sentence of not less than six months hard labour, and disqualified from driving for life, in view of public dissatisfaction with the meagreness of the present penalties.
