Vol. 167 No. 1

Ceisteanna (d'Atógaint). Questions (Resumed). - Listowel Postal Deliveries.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware that the time of the morning delivery of letters in Listowel town is not to the satisfaction of the local people, and, in particular, of business interests; and if he will have the whole position examined with a view to meeting the wishes of the people concerned.

The morning delivery of mail in Listowel commences at 9.55 a.m. This is the earliest that can at present be arranged with available rail and road transport connections. The situation is kept under continuing review and advantage will be taken of any opportunity that presents itself of improving the delivery time there.
