Vol. 167 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rathcoyle (Wicklow) School.

asked the Minister for Education if he is yet in a position to invite tenders for the new national school at Rathcoyle, County Wicklow.

Certain arrangements in regard to the production of evidence of title to the site offered for a new school to replace the present national school at Rathcoyle, County Wicklow, will have to be made before my Department will be in a position to sanction a grant towards the cost of the erection of the new school. These arrangements are receiving attention. When a grant has been sanctioned it will be a matter for the Commissioners of Public Works to prepare detailed working drawings and a specification in order to enable them to invite tenders.

It will inevitably take a considerable time to complete all the arrangements, which will be a necessary preliminary to the invitation of tenders.
