(a) The number of trained teachers who left the teaching service for various reasons (death, retirement, etc.) in the school-year 1956-57 was 338. 400 teachers completed their training course in that year.
(b) It is not possible to say how many teachers will have left the service by the end of the school year 1957-58, but it is not expected that the figure for 1956-57 will be materially changed. The number of teachers completing their training on 30th June next is 433.
