It is not open to me to make any statement as to the progress of a Garda investigation of a murder or indeed of any other crime. In the two cases mentioned, investigations are continuing.
I have been assured that the Garda Síochána have conducted their inquiries with vigour and efficiency and I do not propose to take any action on the lines suggested in the question.
