In accordance with the provisions of the Currency and Central Bank Acts, 1927 to 1942, the initiative in the matter of admitting fresh forms of assets to the Legal Tender Note Fund rests with the Board of the Central Bank of Ireland. I have not received a request to add Irish Government securities to the assets of the Fund.
