I am not aware that any extensive survey of inshore and deep sea fishing grounds was undertaken here. Arrangements have been made to build an exploratory fishing vessel as early as practicable for work of this kind. Tenders will be examined before the end of the year. I cannot as yet say how soon the vessel will be in commission. It is also intended to provide a second exploratory vessel.
