asked the Minister for Justice if he is aware that the Garda Station in Caherdaniel, Cahirciveen Garda District, is to be closed; that the distance between the two nearest Garda Stations on either side of Caherdaniel is roughly 25 miles, and that the residents in the Caherdaniel area are feeling perturbed at the prospect of being deprived of the protection they enjoyed down the years; and if he will ensure that the services of at least one member of the Garda will be retained in the district.
