Vol. 172 No. 4

Business of Dáil.

I understand Deputy Córísh is not going on with the Industrial Relations Bill.

Not to-night. With your permission, we should like to defer consideration of this Bill for another two or three weeks.

Deputy Corish informed me a moment ago that he and the other Deputies promoting this Bill do not wish to proceed with it this evening. In the circumstances, I do not think there is any alternative but to adjourn the Dáil. It would be unfair to call on other Deputies who have tabled motions for Private Members' time to move them now without their having had notice that they were to be taken.

We have no objection to adjourning the House at this hour of the night.

If it is upsetting the House, we are prepared to go on with the Bill.

It is upsetting nobody.

The Dáil adjourned at 9-40 p.m. until 10-30 a.m. on Thursday 15th January, 1959.
