Vol. 173 No. 2

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 3 (Votes 15 to 54) and 4. If not already reached, it is proposed to interrupt business at 1 o'clock to take No. 3 and to resume the Order of Business at 2 p.m. It is proposed to take No. 4 in conjunction with Vote 52. Question will be taken at 3 p.m.

In regard to the Order of Business, last night we agreed provisionally that we could probably take all these Estimates to-day except Lands. However, with regard to Vote 52 and No. 4—the motion in regard to the State Guarantees Act—we feel that requires further examination from our point of view. Would the Tánaiste agree not to take that until Tuesday?

Certainly. We will delete that from the Order of Business. The Estimates will be taken as on the Order Paper except Votes 52 and 46.

Is it confirmed that we are sitting on Tuesday?

And that we shall get the Book of Estimates to-morrow?

And that the Vote on Account will be opened on Wednesday?

Yes, that is the present arrangement.

So there is only an hour for these Estimates?

We shall go back to the Estimates.

If the ordinary business is finished before 1 o'clock, we go back on to Estimates?
