I am aware that a number of men who hold the Diploma in Dairy Science are unemployed at present. Unfortunately, the number of vacancies which exist in the creamery industry is not sufficient to absorb all the qualified men available. I have recently discussed the matter with representatives of the Irish Creamery Managers' Association and the question of the employment of unqualified managers has been taken up with the small number of creameries concerned.
Would the Minister say in how many creameries is this matter being taken up?
I think, in about 12 or 13.
