Vol. 178 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - House Property on Acquired Land.

78.

asked the Minister for Lands why house property on land acquired by the Land Commission is allowed to fall into ruin while the Land Commission are considering, sometimes over a period of years, how best to divide the lands on which such houses are built.

There are standing instructions to expedite the disposal of substantial buildings which become the property of the Land Commission. In appropriate cases, caretakers are appointed to look after interim maintenance. If the Deputy has any particular cases in mind and furnishes particulars, I shall have inquiries made about them.
