Vol. 179 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pedestrain Crossings at Rathmines Rd.

53.

asked the Minister for Local Government if the appropriate authority intend to take steps to have pedestrian crossings placed at Rathmines Road, Dublin, at a convenient point between the Public Library and the traffic lights at Castlewood Avenue junction, and also near the Catholic Church on Rathgar Road, Dublin.

The provision of pedestrian crossings at these locations is a matter in the first instance for the Dublin Corporation in consultation with the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána. There are no proposals for such crossings before me, and I am not aware whether such proposals will be made.
