A proposal of the Dublin Corporation for the resurfacing of Palmerston Road was recently approved in principle by my Department. As regards other roads, six schemes of improvement contemplated by the Corporation for execution in the near future involve the removal of some stretches of tram track. Tenders in respect of two of these schemes are being considered by the Corporation, two other schemes have been approved in principle by my Department, and documents in respects of the remaining two schemes are under consideration in my Department. I cannot say when work on these schemes is likely to commence.
