The only kind of slates that are separately distinguished as such in the Official Import List are asbestos slates and imports of these in each of the years mentioned by the Deputy were nil.
Particulars of imports of slates of other kinds are not available because these imports are not separately distinguished but may be brought to account under one or other of the following headings in the Official Import List: (1) Builders' and monumental stone, worked, and (2) Other cement manufactures (including slates, tiles, etc.).
