asked the Taoiseach what is the normal annual consumption of wheat in this country in the form of flour and wheaten meal.

The average quantity of wheat milled for the production of flour and wheaten meal by holders of licences under the Agricultural Produce Cereals Acts was 426,102 tons per year in the four years ended 31 August, 1959. The quantity of wheat milled is defined as the aggregate of the weight of flour, wheaten meal and other products (including wheaten offals) produced at the mills.
