The Mayo County Council proposed on the 20th February last that the money involved in this case should be included in a composite loan to meet several items of expenditure but, as the loan charges appropriate to the Ballycastle cottages can qualify for higher subsidy than the other items, the council was advised on the 16th March to raise a separate loan for this scheme. Revised proposals are awaited.
