Following my assurance to the Deputy in answering his Question and Supplementary Questions of the 11th February last, that everything possible would be done to expedite this scheme, I requested the county council to arrange a conference of the technical officers dealing with the housing and roads matters involved. I understand that this conference has been held but I have not yet been apprised of the outcome. I am, therefore, at present unable to say when the work is likely to be commenced.
