Vol. 182 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Purchase of Leinster House Portraits.

16.

asked the Minister for Finance whether the portraits of Collins, O'Higgins and Griffith, at present in Leinster House, were purchased by the Office of Public Works or by public subscription.

The three portraits in question were purchased by subscription.

Will the Parliamentary Secretary tell me what was the last portrait purchased and paid for by his Department?

That is a separate question surely.

It arises out of my question. What was the last portrait purchased by the Department?

It is a separate question.

The Parliamentary Secretary has the information there.

It is a separate question.

I gave particulars, in my concluding speech on the Estimate, of the entire number of portraits purchased and the Deputy will find it in the Official Report.

The Parliamentary Secretary did not give the price.

I would require notice of that question.
