Vol. 184 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Television Programmes: Northern Irish Viewers.

41.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if his attention has been called to a report that the Irish Television Authority have decided to take steps to prevent Northern Irish viewers from receiving Irish television programmes; and, if so, what steps he proposes to take to reverse any such decision.

I have seen the report referred to by the Deputy. No such decision as that mentioned in the Question has been taken by the Radio Éireann Authority.

Who tipped off the Sunday Press?

A Deputy

The Sunday Independent.

Who owns the Sunday Press?

The Deputy does not anyway.

That is abundantly clear.

I did not go to America, collect money and put it into the Irish Press.
