Vol. 184 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Phoenix Park First-Aid Hut: Telephone Facilities.

16.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Finance if he will have a telephone installed in the St. John's Ambulance Brigade First-Aid Hut at the Fifteen Acres in the Phoenix Park to facilitate members of the Brigade in 'phoning hospitals, doctors and ambulances in connection with serious injuries sustained by persons frequenting the playing fields there.

When this hut was being provided by the Commissioners of Public Works it was agreed with those concerned that its equipment would be a matter for the Football Association of Ireland and the County Dublin Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The Commissioners of Public Works are not prepared to provide a telephone.
