Vol. 184 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Carrigaline School.

61.

asked the Minister for Education when it is expected that building operations will commence on the new girls' and infants' school at Carrigaline; and whether he is now satisfied that the modernising of the toilets at the existing school can be carried out in advance of the main scheme of improvements.

I understand from the Commissioners of Public Works that the Reverend Manager has been asked to lodge the local contribution for the new girls' and infants' school at Carrigaline. When this has been done a tender will be accepted and building operations can then commence.

I have also ascertained that they are investigating the question of improving the sanitary accommodation at the existing school and that the local architect will discuss this matter with the Reverend Manager at an early date.
