The dependent relative allowance is £60 where the income of the relative does not exceed £80 a year. The Deputy may have in mind the possible effect on claims to this allowance of the new contributory pension of £2 per week provided by the Social Welfare (Amendment) Act, 1960. This is one of the matters which I shall be taking into consideration in connection with my forthcoming Budget.
