The information in regard to duty-free sales to transit and embarking passengers is not available in the form sought by the Deputy as separate records of sales to each category of passenger are not kept.
Duty-free sales at Shannon Airport are made only to transit and embarking passengers and crew members; sales to crew members are not substantial. The total receipts from duty-free sales during the accounting years ended 31st January, 1959, 1960 and 1961 amounted to £735,133, £604,910 and £587,649 respectively.
