The information available relates to the gross freight earnings of Irish shipping companies from all activities, except coastal transport, less payments made outside the State (for equipment, charter hire, repairs, bunkers, stores, harbour dues, etc.). I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing the net earnings of Irish shipping companies in each year 1952 to 1961.
