In the years 1960 and 1961 the number of social insurance cards exchanged were 597,559 and 600,826 and the number of new cards issued were 56,107 and 60,720 respectively. The figures shown for 1960 relate to the insurance year January, 1960, to January, 1961, in the case of males and July, 1959, to July, 1960, in the case of females. Similarly the 1961 figures relate to January, 1961, to January, 1962, for males and July, 1960, to July, 1961 for females.
